When asked to launch the most anticipated car in automotive history, we leaned into what it was best known for in the 60’s - its iconic two tone paint job and its original spirit.
ID. Buzz is one of the most anticipated vehicle launches of all time. Already on the road in Europe, we needed a big and bold way to signal to the American market that the electric reincarnation of the Volkswagen microbus is on its way to the US.Our approach was to embrace the restraint, wit, and warmth of the original bus advertising of the 1960s and give it a fresh coat of paint. Literally. With a two-tone design system and clever use of wordplay and apostrophes that showed up in major commuter spaces and along bus routes in NY and LA.

To paint the picture of what makes VW drivers different we told the story of those who are considerate of others, like our VW drivers, and a guy who is not. Ironically, no car can distinguish between the two. Even though sometimes, we may wish it could.

Life gets bigger when you break from the herd.

 In a world that’s constantly pushing people to conform, the Volkswagen Tiguan represents a break from the status quo, as an SUV that’s not the conventional choice. It’s a vehicle for people who know that living a bigger life starts with taking your own road, regardless of what everyone else wants you to do.&#38;nbsp;
Directed by Bryce Dallas Howard, this spot follows a sheep’s journey, as she escapes the mundanity of her herd with a little help from the VW Tiguan, and goes on to realize her dream of becoming a dog.&#38;nbsp;
Overall the spot is a celebration of the open-minded spirit that Volkswagen championed with the relaunch of its “Drive Bigger” platform.

A Super Bowl campaign featuring the “Dude” Jeff Lebowski &#38;amp; Carrie Bradshaw, showing how a little change can do a lot of good.

Bringing back Carrie Bradshaw and The Dude,
Jeff Lebowski, for a good cause. People all over the world joined
these legends in support of the Water.org charity, helping over 800 million people with access to clean water by simply changing up the usual – ordering a
Stella “Ar-toes” instead of their iconic cocktails, 
 

The campaign kicked off with a cryptic Instagram post from Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw making a possible return that sent fans into a spin.


Soon after we almost broke the internet again with a Jeff Bridges tweet that showed him as The Big Lebowski’s Dude making a possible return too.

We then released a remake of “Sex and the City” opening sequence to confirm Carrie’s involvement in our campaign. No one put two and two together yet, the Dude was about to join her in our Super Bowl ad.


On Super Bowl Sunday our ad ran during the game with another big surpirse awaitng viewers.
